Hi, I’m Kristin, the human behind Our Western Journey. I live in the beautiful state of Colorado with my husband and two cute dogs. I think I am pretty funny and unique but then again I probably just tell myself that so I don’t feel so weird…

ANYWAYS, I am originally from New England where I ate lobster rolls, raised chickens, and on the weekends I was a big time fisherman. Ever since I was little my passion was all about animals and nature. You would never find me inside for too long, I was always hiking and getting ticks. I grew up with a lot of pets (aka my other brothers and sisters) I had many cats, LOTs of dogs, rabbits, chickens, fish, hamsters, rats, goats, you name it I had it.

Now as an adult-ish, I'm still a nature enthusiast with a deep passion for animals, particularly dogs. You'll often find me exploring the beautiful state of Colorado with my perfect duo, Mochi & Matsu. I truly love reveling my journey, being outdoors, and sharing the unbreakable bond between humans and dogs.

Sooo that is why I started Our Western Journey. It’s the journey of my life with my little pack. It’s the journey of living in Colorado and exploring. It’s about the ups and downs of owning dogs and just being human. I share it all so you too can become apart of our western journey (yes… even if you live in the eastern hemisphere you too can be a part of the “western journey'“).
